我们的愿景是遵循 Material Design 的设计准则，来提供一个精致的 React 实现方案，并且能够能按照您的需求量身定制，将您的品牌特色表现得淋漓尽致。

Material-UI 起航于 Material Design 指导下的设计原则，但一款软件往往有着各式各样、方方面面的诉求，而这些原则就可能不会为我们的所有问题给出答案。 In addition to the guidelines-specific implementation, we want MUI to become whatever is generally useful for application development, all in the spirit of the Material Design guidelines.

正因此，Material-UI 绝不只是应用、实现 Material Design 所列述的原则，它更像一个面对广大用户提出的设计问题，提供优良设计组件甚或设计方案的 UI 库。 这个一般化的做法并没有遵循任何已有的设计原则。 此处我们还有想要表达的另一层意思，那就是 Material-UI 的一些组件或组合可能提供了一些 Material Design 还未能给出的设计思路。

We will focus on providing all the low-level tools needed to build a rich user-interface with React. Once we implement the Material Design guidelines (which is a bar set quite high), you should be able to take advantage of it for your own business with any style customization needed. 我们很想看到的是，公司会根据自己的品牌有了自己的一套 Material-UI 使用方法，却无关乎或者不是百分之百有着 material 的设计哲学和内涵。 We want to see companies succeeding using MUI in a way that matches their brand, close to the material philosophy or not. 我们不想要看到 Material-UI 只是 Google 产品的另一个复制品。 We don't want them to feel that their UI simply looks like another Google product.

作为开发者，我们眼中 Material-UI 的未来应该是：

• 提供各类完整封装、组件化的 React 组件。
• 能够根据产品主题被定制或者个性化。
• 兼容多个主流浏览器并可及。
• 致力于帮助开发者找寻到开发的乐趣，在 Material-Ui 这个社区里，让大家感到各个等级、水平的开发者能够随心交流，相互学习。
